We are now accepting resumes for the following positions:

Director of Nursing

  • Assume responsibility for the development of nursing service objectives, performance standards of nursing practice for each category of nursing personnel, and nursing policies and procedures
  • Assume accountability for the development, organization and implementation of approved policies and procedures
  • Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
  • Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care
  • Assess resident needs and make recommendations for special rehabilitation programs
  • Evaluate resident care as related to individualized resident needs, family involvement, and the physician’s plan of care for the resident
  • Report problems to the Administrator, conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
  • Make management reports and special assignments, and adhere to established time schedules
  • Direct implementation of “Resident Bill of Rights”
  • Conduct staff meetings with all shifts for purposes of planning, coordinating and implementing nursing service policies and procedures
  • Establish open lines of communication with consultants and consistently take follow-up action on recommendations
  • Take inquiries for resident placement as assigned by the administrator and initiate procedures for proper placement or residents and level of care determinations
  • Conduct resident care conferences
  • Assess resident responses to medication and treatments, and make appropriate recommendations
  • Direct and implement nursing service educational programs including, but not limited to, orientation and in-service for licensed and unlicensed personnel
  • Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharge coordinators and social service consultants
  • Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social service consultants
  • Communicate daily with nursing personnel providing clear, concise information as well as specific assignments
  • Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability and dependability
  • Act as a Charge Nurse and cover the floor/various shifts as needed for the best interest of the facility
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator

 

RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) 

Assume accountability for the development, organization, and implementation of approved policies and procedures as assigned

  • Assume Director of Nursing position when Director of Nursing is unavailable
  • Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
  • Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care
  • Assess resident need and then make recommendations for special rehabilitation programs
  • Evaluate resident care as related to individualized resident needs, family involvement, and the physician’s plan of care for the resident
  • Report problems to the Director of Nursing or Facility Administrator and conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
  • Document management reports, audits, and special assignments, adhere to established time schedules
  • Direct implementation of “Resident Bill of Rights”
  • Conduct staff meetings with all shifts for purposes of planning, coordinating, and implementing nursing service policies and procedures
  • Assist with completion of daily documentation and follow up as assigned
  • Personally obtain continuing education related to long term care nursing
  • Establish open lines of communication with consultants and consistently take follow-up action on recommendations
  • Complete performance appraisals for licensed and unlicensed personnel as assigned
  • Coordinate staffing and address emergent issues as needed
  • Take inquiries for resident placement as assigned by the administrator and initiate procedures for proper placement or residents and level of care determinations as assigned
  • Participate in resident care conferences as needed
  • Assess resident responses to medication and treatments and make appropriate recommendations

Maintenance Director

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized and has strong multitasking abilities. Directors should be committed to learning and complying with OSHA standards of nursing homes. Candidates should be able and willing to help in any area of the housekeeping or laundry department as needed. Applicants should feel comfortable with management and be able to hire, terminate, or remediate staff.

  • Build various structures requiring the use of various materials
  • Do minor plumbing repairs such as, replacing and unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers and dryers, replacing broken pipes/water lines
  • Maintain and replace light bulbs, electrical outlets and to rewire or replace wiring in various equipment used by the facility
  • Remove furniture from rooms no longer occupied, or assist residents in moving from another room
  • Paint interior and exterior of facility, also may include some wallpaper repair
  • Install and check batteries in smoke alarms, emergency lights and various minor equipment
  • Organize fire drills, maintain records of fire drills, check all extinguishers and assist Fire Marshall with inspections
  • Maintain the grounds of the facility
  • This includes mowing, trimming hedges, weeding, planting and keeping grounds free of garbage and debris
  • Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to maintenance policies and procedures
  • Make environmental rounds routinely and initiate corrective action as necessary. Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action
  • Participate in facility in-service programs and staff meetings as assigned
  • Assume personal responsibility for following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies
  • Assume accountability for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the facility and within span of control
  • Responsible for communicating pertinent information to employees
  • Supervise maintenance department personnel
  • Report unusual problems or incidents to the Administrator of the facility
  • Document incidents and/or unusual problems according to established facility procedures
  • Replace windows if necessary
  • Assist in the construction of any additions to the facility
  • Replace flooring when necessary
  • Responsible for being on-call and available for facility nights and weekends
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator of the facility.

 

 Housekeeping Director

  • Purchase housekeeping and laundry supplies
  • Supervise receiving and storage of linens and supplies
  • Represent the Housekeeping/Laundry Departments
  • Participate in employee selection, evaluation and termination
  • Responsible for communicating pertinent information to employees
  • Prepare documentation and cleaning schedules
  • Plan and conduct in-service training programs
  • Assume responsibility for high sanitation standards
  • Ensure proper maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy
  • Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy
  • Assure proper care and use of housekeeping/laundry equipment
  • Report any observed area in poor repair to the Administrator and to the maintenance department
  • Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies
  • Assist with the implementation of OSHA regulations as they pertain to housekeeping/laundry departments
  • Operate an automated laundry solution dispensing system
  • Prevent the spread of infection through proper handling, storage, washing and transporting of all garments and linens
  • Keep MSDS book updated with all new chemicals of housekeeping and laundry departments

  • Perform daily rounds to ensure a healthy, clean safe environment is maintained at all times
  • Ensure all hallways and entrances are uncongested at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring proper safety measures are used when housekeeping/laundry duties are being performed (e.g., wet floor signs, chemicals are secure and labeled, etc.)
  • Supervise proper labeling and handling of all residents' clothing
  • Work with all corporate Supervisors to mainstream policies and procedures
  • Perform, oversee and schedule all floor care procedures
  • Ensures all state and federal guidelines are met
  • Assist Office Manager with housekeeping and laundry payables
  • Attend in-services and seminars as directed by the Administrator of your facility
  • Perform all housekeeping and laundry positions
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator
