La Buena Vida Program
The La Buena Vida program at Sprenger Health Care Autumn Aegis specializes in providing post-hospitalization, short-term, respite and long-term care to the area’s existing and growing Latino population. The program specifically caters to this group by way of its Spanish-speaking physicians and staff, interpretation services, cultural and faith-based activities and authentic Hispanic menu options. Holographic Medicine Program
Sprenger Health Care has partnered with Buffalo Pacific to provide Holographic Medicine services to residents. This state-of-the-art technology will provide the highest level of care and allow residents to consult with a variety of specialists without ever leaving the comfort of the campus. The program is currently being piloted at Sprenger’s Amherst Manor, Anchor Lodge and Towne Center facilities.
NxStage Hemodialysis Program
Sprenger Health Care Smithville Western Commons now offers its residents on-site NxStage® Hemodialysis – a more frequent, convenient way to receive hemodialysis treatment. Residents can benefit from on-site hemodialysis five days per week vs. the conventional three days per week in-center. More frequent hemodialysis treatment reduces the amount of time there is for fluid and toxins to build-up between treatments, resulting in an overall healthier, happier resident.
VA Program
Sprenger Health Care is proud to serve the veteran community at-large by way of its VA-awarded contracts at our Main Street Care Center, Heather Knoll, Bluffton and Port Royal facilities. These contract allow our facilities to meet the healthcare needs of veterans with 24-hour skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, long-term care services, a PTSD support group, and more.
Stroke Rehabilitation Program
Sprenger Health Care offers stroke rehabilitation services at its Bluffton and Port Royal facilities. The program is led by Sprenger’s interdisciplinary team and backed by Coastal Neurology physicians to provide clinical, social, physical, emotional and cognitive support to residents.
Delay the Disease™ PD Program
Sprenger Health Care’s therapists have joined OhioHealth in the fight against Parkinson’s Disease (PD) by offering a free ongoing exercise program to the community. With guidance by a physical therapist, this program is specifically designed to optimize physical functioning of individuals with PD and delay its progression. Memory Care Program
Do you have a loved one experiencing memory loss? We are here to help. Sprenger Health Care’s Memory Care Program offers secure living units, the highest level of care by our specially-trained staff members and physicians, and personalized recreational activities to assist you or your loved one as you navigate this difficult time. Residents also benefit from our Music & Memory™ program which uses the power of music to them cope with physical and emotional challenges. Sprenger’s Memory Care program is offered at its Amherst Manor, Grande Village, Heather Knoll, Smithville Western, Bluffton and Port Royal facilities.
Physiatry Care Program
Sprenger Health Care’s Main Street Care Center, Village of the Falls, Bluffton and Port Royal facilities are proud to partner with experienced local physicians to treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. Through patient-centered care plans, residents can receive the rehabilitation and pain management care they need following a post-acute hospital stay.
