State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
The ideal candidate is organized, energetic and patient. STNAs should be able to encourage residents to participate in daily care routines while always respecting resident rights. STNAs should be passionate about healthcare and have the best interest of the resident in mind.
Charge Nurse/Registered Nurse (RN)
RNs should be encouraging and friendly, while always respecting resident rights. Candidates should be able to perform resident care and take appropriate action when they notice any changes in a resident's condition that might affect the residents health or well-being.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, energetic and can effectively multi-task. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) should be able to accurately document and maintain confidentiality. LPNs should be encouraging and friendly, while always respecting resident rights.

Before hiring, every team member must complete a state criminal background check, and provide either five years proof of residency or an FBI background check. After an offer of employment is made, we require a medical examination, including a lift evaluation, to be completed prior to beginning with us. The offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these tests.
Absenteeism adversely affects our ability to serve our residents. For this reason, we hold our team members accountable to their commitment to arrive on-time for all scheduled shifts.
Providing a professional workforce is extremely important to us. Uniforms are required. Brightly colored, extreme hairstyles or do-rags are not permitted. Vulgar tattoos or tattoos on the neck or face must be covered. Piercings other than in the earlobes are not to be visible.

There are many great career opportunities for candidates that don't require a license or certification in a particular area. For these candidates, we would encourage you to explore open positions in dining services, housekeeping/laundry, maintenance, and some administrative positions. Please refer to the individual job postings for a list of specific requirements for every position.

In healthcare, we have certain requirements we must meet during the hiring process. Your hiring process will consist of a physical exam, lift test, background check screenings, fingerprinting (if your state requires it), online education and on-boarding documentation requirements, TB testing, and completion of an orientation day. In order to become employed you must be willing to complete all of these requirements.
Sprenger offers free online CEUs through our Sprenger Education site. On occasion we may offer live CEUs as well. Please refer to individual facility and department specific personnel for more information on CEUs.
